Anabosis: BRONS

Anabosis is a science fiction novel set in the distant future of the Verdian Tales Universe. It focusses on the adventures and experiences of ethicist Emma Grant as she explores the hermit world of Anabosis; a planet where an expansive tech conglomerate conducts top secret research and development free from the burden of law and external oversight. Though not a scientist herself, what Emma discovers along the way could upend the status quo and pull this lonely world out of its isolation.

In Anabosis’ seventh chapter, titled SIGMA ULTIMA, Emma and Hal are accompanied by Gezerai to the southern subcontinent of Seprine, where the original Anabosian colony was established. The descendants of those original colonists, called Sepriners, want nothing to do with their Anabosian rulers, fearing their scientific endeavors and are considered backward separatists by the powers that be. As Emma learns more about Project Brons, which is centered on behavioral modification through the use of neural implants, she discovers that perhaps the Sepriners have a more legitimate cause for concern than they are credited.
