Anabosis: Anabosis

Anabosis is a science fiction novel set in the distant future of the Verdian Tales Universe. It focusses on the adventures and experiences of ethicist Emma Grant as she explores the hermit world of Anabosis; a planet where an expansive tech conglomerate conducts top secret research and development free from the burden of law and external oversight. Though not a scientist herself, what Emma discovers along the way could upend the status quo and pull this lonely world out of its isolation.

In this third chapter, Emma and her husband, Hal, arrive on the titular world just in time to witness some of the marvelous experimentation Tivar promised them (Anabosis even gains a moon for a moment). As they descend towards the planet, Hal begins to wonder about how peaceful the Anabosians, or at least their industry overlords, truly are, noting the array of kinetic batteries orbiting the hermit world. Upon landing, Emma compiles and arranges the list of projects she will review during her stay, beginning with the now greatly anticipated Project TARSU.
